"Poppy Field", oil.

"Poppy Field"
11 x 14", oil on panel.

This one one of 3 latest "Daily Paintings" what I did during last few days. I'm not biggest fan of
"painting-a-day" movement, but I want to be able work faster without loosing much quality.
Therefore I'm going to dedicate more time to my Études.
Like all my small oil paintings this one will be available on e-bay.

Above - work in progress on my table.. or should I say "on my easel"?

Hibiscus WIP.

Started working on this painting few month ago and now I'm glad to be back to it.
So far I'm working on so called "Grisaille ", what basically mean
any painting technique in which translucent oil colors are laid over
a monotone underpainting.
I still on underpainting part with this one, it takes most of time
and has to be done well...
When I'll be done with this B/W stage and it will be dry enough
, I'll be able to finish it with
color glazes. Love this technique, but sure it is very time consuming.

Stone Bridge. Oil on panel. Finished.

"Stone Bridge - II" Oil, 12 x 12"

Call this one finished. It was lovely and relaxing process.
So far it will dry and I can go back to my Oil Pastel and hopefully finish that one too.

Stone Bridge. Oil on panel.

Another version of beautiful stone bridge at Fort Hunter, what I painted before.
This time I'm doing it in oil and using underpainting in burnt sienna.
Little fun project, something to do before I can go back to my Oil pastel
what needs few days to get harder.

Tetons in Oil Pastel.

"Tetons Magic" 12 x 16" Oil Pastel.

Started this one this spring... One of my somewhat bigger pieces,
mixed Oil pastels on Ampersand Hardbord. I used two different primers,
solvent work and direct application.
It is still in progress, but getting there...
