Egg Tempera WIP update.

Above: framed version of painting, real size.

Worked some more with my tempera painting this night.  Most attention  I payed  to layering of  grass, rocks and did some minor work on trees.

Also I was playing  with  framing options. Thank you, Todd for nice little frames you made!

Below: details of painting. Click on image to see it in bigger size.

New Egg Tempera WIP.

My current WIP egg tempera miniature landscape. ACEO size. Very begging. About 3 evenings of work off and on. This one is partially done with my home-made tempera mixes. Love it!

Egg tempera miniature landscape.

 3.5 X 2.5 "  Strathmore Illustration Bord.

Sennelier Egg Tempera. Yarka watercolor.

This is one of my new egg tempera/watercolor works. Little ACEO sized landscape with Cove Creek. The same scene I just did in bigger size with soft pastels.

Cove Creek little fall.

La Carte, 11 X 14 "

Art Spectrum Marine set (40 colors)

Some mixed green pastels.

This is one more Plein Air what I did this evening. It took probably about 1,5 hours of work. My very same favorite area on Cove Creek near with famous Appalachian trail. This time I tried to paint not a creek, but little (and very loud!) waterfall.

Two more miniatures.

Bright Sunset.
4 x 6", Wallis paper, mixed pastels.

This week I did two more small works. One is a smaller version of painting I had done before and the other one - from reference photo I took last week with my husbands cell phone. That pretty evening sky a-la Paula Ford was too tempting for me not to try! :)

Foggy evening.
4 x 6", Wallis paper, mixed pastels.

Awakening. WIP.

11 X 14" Ampersand pastel board,
Lyra oil pencils, Neocolor II Wax pastel,
Holbein & Sennelier oil pastels.

Few years ago we had a bad storm, when lot of rain turned into the ice. It was pretty dangerous, but so amazingly beautiful! Trees were covered with sparkling ice and so was my favorite rose bush - Climbing Blaze.

I took several photos of roses, so far ice didn't melt, and felled in love with one of those pictures. Later on I painted "Awakening" for my 2009 Oil Pastel Society annual show and now want to share with you WIP pictures of my painting. Hope you will enjoy it.
