Second/Third day of workshop with Greg Biolchini 

 Missed the second day of workshop, oh well... I still have one more chance to work on my Still Life on the Third Day. Everybody was painting like crazy... Lots of different styles, lots of beautiful paintings... Mine is only half-way done. Will have to finish it later on at my home-studio. Not a problem. Tomorrow we are starting work on Portraits. And... surprise!... My niece Veronika will be on of our models!

OK. I call it finished. Not exactly what i expected, BUT... this is a thing with paintings - they live their own life and I never know for sure what each next one will be. Probably it is a best part about art. Otherwise it would be just simple replication of reality.

Worked some more on my latest pastel. Really want to finish it, but always something getting on my way. One thing after another.

I can only hope after I will finish this painting, it will not look like one big confusing mess.

I'm just soooo glad this day is over. What a mess! Vet appointments, doctors appointments, accidents, emergencies... I kind of  had enough of it for one day. I think I'm too tired to even hold my paints. There is a chance I even will go in bed before midnight, not way after such... However with all chaos I got some more painting done. I think it feels good?.. I think?... I can think?...

Beginning of another 12 x 12" landscape/waterscape of the very same Cove Creek. So far I only finished initial underpainting in charcoal and watermedia. Tomorrow I'm going to start with pastel itself. Can not wait to start, but... it is getting late and I better leave it for today... especially because of "today" is already "tomorrow".

This is a picture I was hunting for several weeks this spring.. There is a place at Wildwood park where swampy marsh is meeting with open water covered with Water Lilies. Those pretty little things were staying closed every time I go to see them. But one day I got lucky. Place looked picture perfect and I took numerous reference photos and painter "Waterway" after one of those shots. 

Gouache underpainting, mixed pastels and pastel pencils.

Finished my painting. Mostly happy with it beside of few minor details. However will have to work with photos. Colors and focus are slightly off. I can do better then that.

My latest work is going to be Still Life in pastel. This time I'm using Pastel Mat for support and totally love it. I started my drawing in charcoal and going to do some work on values before starting with full color. I'm using 3 colors of charcoal: dark black, medium gray and white.
