Second update on this painting. It is coming along nice and slow. I think I had to go bigger then I did and probably wit another color of background. Somewhat too much contrast with flesh tones. But... just let see, what could be done about it.

"Madonna and her Schnauzer" WIP. Update #1.
Here is surprise - I had a time not just to finish my drawing, but also have it transferred on La Carte and even try some color on it. I again have a feeling that I don't have right browns, but will have to figure out something. So much for today, I have to work some more on another drawing, since I have a lesson tomorrow and that one has to be ready, this one on other hand may wait as long as it takes.

This is going to be interesting. My new project is a self-portrait with one of my favorite dogs -
Shazzam OfOz Basic Beauty (Basya). I had a time of my life putting this graphic together.
It will be another pastel on La Carte. Next step - transfering.

"Spicy Apple Tea" WIP. Last update.

Yesterday night (or very early this morning?) I had this work finished. It came out in somewhat odd size. When I realized it I also realized that have some museum glass laying around, just the size what I needed. The only missing part was a frame. And here we are "shades of Verona" custom frame, just on time for finished painting. I like this picture and the frame, the only question will be - what will be the painting #2, since I happened to order TWO of those frames...
This work will be represented on Group show "Fruit and Food" at gallerie13, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Opening reception February 5th at 6 PM.

"Half-Falls" on Aqua Board.

Yesterday came sample of different boards I ordered from one of my suppliers. I couldn't wait to try my new Ampersand "Aqua Board" and see how it acts.
What to say? I like it. I also tried my new gouache set, that was sitting around for some special occasion. Just as nice, as my new board.
I guess it is all I'm going to do tonight.

Got back to my painting and worked some more. Probably I will need a few more painting sessions with it. I also tried some different mats. Generally I line black better then light onces... But I want to see my new frames to make sure how exactly I would like to finish it. More likely I will frame it matless.

New Year photoshoot.
Little Church at Kinkora.
Too cold and winding for horse back riding or for Plein Air painting... Hunting is no good this season either, too bad, but true... So the only reason to get out there - with camera. Of course when you can make it, and so can your car (mine just returned back from the shop!)
We went out to my favorite creek today. Light was so-so, but we managed to get some useful shots. Pennsylvania at winter, how I see it. Enjoy!
