Provence Blue.

"Provence Blue", 11 x 14", Oil.

I'm finally getting back to those my French studies I did last summer.
This one is an oil painting of small village
and lavender farm in the Lot Valley.
Very unique for that area of country, as most of lavender plantations
are very commercial nowadays and in this mountain region
You will not see any of it.
This is a small family of two operated business with all charm of Old World,
almost like step back in time.
I painted several paintings from that area and
most of it was sold few days after it was painted...
So here is one more for You. Enjoy!

Poetry in Purple. Pastel.

"Poetry in Purple"
12x9" Pastel on U-art.

Look like I'm finally getting back to my painting...
This is another brand-new piece I did this night.
Pastel on U-art 400 sanded paper.
This was painted from memory of beautiful meadows
what I got to see in Massachusetts few years ago.
Green grass and purple overlay of flowers...
I painted it before, but never getting tired f this scene.

Waiting for the Rain, Pastel.

Waiting for the rain,
12x16", Pastel on paper.

This piece was a test for new paper, some of my students brought to me to try.
I did ask how it was called, but lady wasn't sure and I never saw this one before.
I decided to give it a test without mounting it to the board. I sort of do like it,
but not totally sure for just one try. I have another piece
and hope to play with that one sometime soon.
this is another painting f farm fields just behind of my Best Friend's farm,
few miles away from home.

Once Upon A France, Pastel.

"Once Upon A France",
12x12" Pastel on panel

After significant brake in my art blogging I'm finally back to it and going to post
some new paintings... This one is the first Pastel Painting for 2017.
In fact it is total re-do of old painting from years ago.
Washed off with organic solvent and totally repainted.
After my trip to France in 2016 I feel different about this subject,
even more poetic... Hopefully I managed to reflect it at this work.
Enjoy!
