Oil Pastel Society membership updates.

I'm sort of getting behind with my blogging... Internet was down for a while, therefore - what blogging?!..

Anyhow... few days ago I found out about another great news. I received a letter stating that Oil Pastel Society approved my application for changing of my membership status to professional category. What is great. 

I'm very much looking forward to see all the paintings entered at Society's annual show. It should be just beautiful!

Same reference, different painting. Those orchids are done is Erengy brand Oil Pastels and finished just with slight touch up of some Holbeins. Finished today.

Oil base is finally dry and I had an opportunity to finish my work with some touch-up of Oil pastel. Now I'll have all possible fun with varnishing (what I normally do not do with Oil Pastels), so it will be something new to try. Hopefully it will work out.

Small painting just to try out new pastel board... and new set of Girault pastels!

Started yesterday late evening, finished this afternoon. Good board. Great pastels. I was going to do much bigger painting from this very reference in Oil Pastels. Probably I will do it anyway. But so far I enjoyed my "softies".
