One more pastel of Hammonasset State Park in CT.

My latest painting I just finished last night. One more version

"Reflections of Spring"

"Reflections of Spring", 8 x 10",
Pastel on mounted U-art

Back to something smaller. One day project.
Spring Marshes, painted from photo I took during my last trip to MA
earlier in May. We drove by this place to get to our friend's house
and I knew when I saw it - this scene will make good subject for my painting.
I may just do more then one, but so far I painted this little piece.

"Afterglow", Pastel.

"Afterglow", 18 x 24" Pastel over Oil Stain, U-art 400 2015.

This summer I'm planning to play with few bigger pieces
what will be painted after smaller studies I did (or going to do) prior that.
"Afterglow" is the first one of this kind. It is painted after "Marsh Glow" 8 x 10" study
what I did last year... That study was sold right after it was painted.

In those two works I utilized two different forms of underpainting.
"Marsh Glow" was painted on U-art stained with warm sepia tones
(fluid acrylic) and afterglow was done on much more strong
reddish/brown undertones of Oil. I also changed composition a bit.

"Marsh Glow", 8 x 10", Pastel 2014.

Both works have its own merits, but the most important part is -
I'm satisfied with how this new project  going for me and looking forward
to start another piece sometime soon.... And let see what will happen.

"Evening Vista", pastel.

My latest painting finished after our trip to Cape Cod National Seashore area.
This is a view from Fort Hill, late spring, right before sunset.

Coast Guard Beach study. Pastel.

8 x 10" Pastel on Wallis paper.

This is my first pastel work what I did after returning from Cape Cod in my studio.
I got some really beautiful photos to work with and now will pull some of those
out and paint... Of course AFTER all the commitments related to Camp Hill Plein Air.

I'm looking forward to go back to Cape at September,
do some more exploring and bring back even more material to work with...
Mean while I have enough and just looking forward to paint...

Another look at Wildwood, Pastel WIP. Update.

Slowly moving along with my landscape. Had some work done today, not much,
but with the right feeling to it. I'm trying to keep it this time about color and feeling. About that moody attitude and not so much about detail... So far not bad. Maybe just a little bit more... Will be nice to finish it before this month is over... Or perhaps even before the end of this week.

Back to Ever Glades.

After "Blossom" premiere we had one more day in Florida and took full advantage of it by going to Ever Glades and Big Cypress National Wildlife Preserve.
OK, I again got sun burn in the middle February (will I ever learn?!)
But photos I brought home worth all the straggle. :-)

"Waterway with Lilies" by Tatiana Myers.

"Waterway with Lilies" by Tatiana Myers
12 x 12". Pastel on Ampersand Pastel Board.

This is a picture I was hunting for several weeks this spring.. There is a place at Wildwood park where swampy marsh is meeting with open water covered with Water Lilies. Those pretty little things were staying closed every time I go to see them. But one day I got lucky. Place looked picture perfect and I took numerous reference photos and painter "Waterway" after one of those shots.
Gouache underpainting, mixed pastels and pastel pencils.

Bates Farm, Plein Air.

Early November.

11 x 14"  Plein Air. Soft Pastel, pencils, La Carte.

This Wednesday we went to another local farm for Plain Air session. What a day! At first we got lost in a swamp for a while and had some very productive painting session (of course I had to find out that forgot to check memory card in my camera, so all pictures were taking with my phone.. oops!.. ) Then we went to see two local galleries (One more nice surprise, thank You , Pat for taking us there!) And finished at some sort of eating place, not so much eating but talking about more of paintings... After all I managed to finish my painting I started on the farm. Here it is, but better next time I check not just batteries, but WHOLE my equipment. We lost a lot of good shots there...

Chambersburg 25th Annual Miniature Art Exhibition 2009.

Today we got more good news. Two of my miniature paintings were accepted at Chambersburg 25th Annual Miniature Art  Juried Exhibition 2009 at Council for the Arts of Chambersburg.

This year show received 392 entries from 120 artists, however gallery can only accept 180 works, because of space issues. So I'm very pleased to see that my work will be included at this show.

I'm planning to attend opening reception on November 5-th and very much looking forward to see some great paintings there. So exiting!

Below: two of my works, that will be shown in Chambersburg.

All right, I can now move to another work. This is a last update for my painting of Wildwood Lake. I'm going to work on framing of it tomorrow, since it is really late now, time to go to bed.

Still think about right name for this one...

Swampy updates.

Nothing much, just another update on my painting of Wildwood lake. Hope to work on it some more today, since weather is that kind, that not much could be done outside.

One more update on my swamp!

Nothing much new, just some more work with the same very painting. look like I'm going to the right direction with it. I'm not on hurry, no reason. It will be done when time will be right. But i think it shouldn't take too long. Probably few more days.
